Vexcel’s federated authentication capability allows users to easily access the viewer Viewer through their own corporate credentials instead of having to remember another username and password. For this to work, your company must be set up to use federated authentication with the viewerViewer.

If your company has been set up for federated authentication in the viewerViewer, you will automatically be routed through the federated auth login flow when attempting to access the viewerViewer. There is no special action required on your part.

If your company is not set up to use federated authentication, you will need to provide a traditional username and password to access the viewerViewer.

If your company would like to be set up to use federated authentication, the setup process is easy. Contact your customer advocate representative to begin the process.

Setting Up Your Traditional Account

When your traditional viewer Viewer account is initiated by your customer advocate representative, you will receive an email welcoming you and directing you to complete the setup of your account. Click Activate Account in your welcome email and follow the directions. You will be prompted to enter your name and create a password. Passwords must:

Once you log in, you will be greeted with the viewerViewer. The appearance of the viewerViewer, as well as availability of data, features, and other components may vary depending on your service agreement.

  • User menu: In the user menu, you can log out or change your password. Note that if you are using the viewer Viewer via federated authentication access, you will not have an option to reset your password.

  • Change instance button: The grid icon allows you to change your instance, if you have more than one available. This option will not show if you don’t have access to multiple instances.

  • Help and support menu: The “?”  icon is a help center where you can give feedback, find assistance, and access helpful articles.

  • Home button: The home button will reset the viewer Viewer to your default view - either an overview of your imagery access, or, if you have full worldwide access, it will show an overview of the earth.
