Datasets shown on the timeline are contained within layers in the layer control. Grayed out layers are not available in that location.

Blue Sky Layers

Layers under the Blue Sky heading show checkboxes next to each layer. The checkboxes indicate that data contained in that layer is enabled to show on the timeline and on the map. You can hide blue sky datasets from the timeline and from the map by unchecking the box.

This function is not necessary to use in most cases. Normally, you will use the timeline slider to toggle between the different datasets available at your location.

Gray Sky Layers

Layers under the Gray Sky heading show checkboxes next to each layer. The checkboxes indicate that data contained in that layer is enabled to show on the timeline and on the map. You can hide entire gray sky datasets from the timeline and from the map by unchecking the box.
